A place to consider for your next trip to Athens.

Ever since I was a little girl I loved staying at hotels. Especially in my adolescence period, during which I got to travel a lot with my family, I had the blessing to stay at numerous hotels across the globe. I can still remember the feeling of thrill that each stay was offering to my soul. My excitement was immense and I was overwhelmed by pure joy and happiness. Maybe it sounds too much? Living in hotels is just an ultimate experience. And this is how hotel life is considered nowadays. And this is the exact reason that hotels have invested so much in human resources and the quality of the services provided. Small details are indeed of prodigious importance.

Hotel-life becomes even more interesting when the hotel is located in the heart of your own city. Some days ago, I was given the opportunity to stay at St. George Lycabettus hotel in Kolonaki, in the heart of the ever-so-busy Athens. The location is the best, offering access to Kolonaki shopping district with loads of boutiques, to an area full of restaurants, coffee shops and bars, where one can sit and enjoy really nice food and drinks from am to pm.

The view from the hotel is unbeatable. The guests can enjoy panoramic views of Athens and the Saronic Gulf. The sunset is an experience one has got to live; the colors of the sky invest in your soul  and make your heartbeat pump quickly. "Is this real?" I heard someone saying. Yes, it is and we are all so lucky to experience it.

On the 7th floor there is the latest addition, the "Vertigo Pool Club". It operates as an all-day cocktail bar with great views over Athens and an extraordinary view of the Acropolis itself. Also, don't forget to book a table at the brand new "La Suite Lounge", the restaurant located on the 6th floor. The service is excellent and the food is exquisite. If you are a real foodie, don't neglect to taste the millefeuille.

A visit at the hotel Spa is a must. I was personally given one of the best massages of my life (thanks again my dear Aspa) and the facilities are just extraordinary. The entire personnel is genuinely kind and eager to assist you at all times. Make sure you also try the sauna; it will be a present to yourself, trust me; relaxing and rejuvenating. The whole spa experience is suitable to all of you who'd like to feel spoiled and pamper themselves accordingly.

To sum up, I strongly advise you to pay a visit to the screening room on the ground floor. Best part, besides the ever-so-comfortable chairs, is the pop corn machine! Ask the stuff to inform you about the screenings and also remember to take a tour at the gallery downstairs.

What really struck me during my entire stay at St. George Lycabettus was the positive attitude of the entire personnel and their willingness to make sure that my stay there was one to remember. It had been indeed a memorable one. I would strongly recommend it for all of you who wish to live an ultimate hotel experience in the centre of Athens.

Thank you all once again.
