How to Care for Your Blonde Hair

I'm pretty sure that everyone's dealing with their own hair challenges. Being a blondie, my personal challenge is to keep my hair healthy & maintain my golden locks all year round.

In the past year, I finally learned the importance of having a proper hair care routine (cause up until then I wasn't using anything other than random shampoos & conditioners on my hair. Hair masks? What's that?).

Putting a routine in place and using the right products helps in maintaining your hair color and most importatnly keeping it healthy.

Below I’m sharing my regular hair routine and some tips on how to treat your (extra demanding) blonde hair all year round.

silver is the answer

If you want to showcase the beauty of your light blonde hair opt for a silver shampoo. I use the L’Oreal Silver Shampoo that counteracts unwanted brassy tones and maintains my beautiful shade and enhances the color shine.

use a mask

A deep conditioning hair mask is crucial for us blondies.

I use the L’Oreal Professionel Absolut Repair Lipidium Mask to rejuvenate and repair my damaged hair. Spread from roots to ends focusing on that part and rinse with cold water. This way your hair will "lock" the beneficial elements of the mask.

Also, remember that multi-masking (just like multi-tasking) is key. I use the L'Oreal Pro Vitamino a nourishing shot with my mask to ensure soft, glowy and longlasting results.

your hair oil is your best friend

Last but not least, do not neglect your hair oil. I use the L’Oreal Mythic Oil Radiance to repair the colored damaged hair as well as to protect my hair from the heat and the sun! Use a good amount - about 2-3 pumps, preferably on wet hair and blow dry as usual.

*Pro Tip* Use it as a mask before washing your hair. Apply a generous amount - depending on the length of your hair and spread from roots to ends. Wrap your head in a towel and wait for about 35'. Rinse well with warm water, then shampoo as usual.

So tell me, what's your hair routine? Do you have any other tips that I should know of?
