NEF'S GUIDE TO A HEALTHY LIFESTYLE

Today’s post is all about fitness and well-being. I thought this topic would be quite interesting and educational as we get a whole lot of questions here at TF concerning our lifestyle; how we manage to stay in shape, what we eat/drink etc. Therefore, I thought it was about time to come forward with my top 6 most valuable fitness and health tips, all especially dedicated to you!

TIP #1: Start your day with a good breakfast.

Make sure your choice contains protein. Why? During our night sleep we tend to burn fat and muscle mass. Thus, we need adequate protein to repair the lost mass in the morning. I personally love eating eggs whites with oats or yoghurt with dried fruits, nuts and honey or if I am in a hurry, I make myself a delicious protein shake. Plus, researches show that people who prefer a high protein breakfast are less prompt to gaining weight.


TIP #2: Detox your liver

The fortress of your body is the liver. Make sure you remove a great deal of toxins by drinking the following; semi-hot water with freshly squeezed lemon juice and a spoonful of honey. It is the oldest remedy known.


TIP #3: Eat carbs for lunch, but avoid them for dinner

When I say carbs, I mean the unprocessed good carbs i.e brown rice, brown bread, brown pasta, quinoa (also suitable for breakfast). Especially if you chose to exercise in the evening, you need those carbs in your lunch to fuel your body with energy and boost your exercise performance. Instead, chose green leafed salad or steamed veggies for dinner together with lean protein (fish, turkey, meat, chicken).


TIP #4: Exercise an average 3 to 4 times a week*

(*always in your sexiest workout attire)

Be careful though, do not overdo it as over-exercising can actually have a negative impact on yourself. Combine cardio with fat-burning exercises for the optimal results (ask your trainer for advice).


TIP #5: Drink lots of water & get adequate sleep

These are known as two key factors to a healthy lifestyle. One detail of immense importance is that we burn fat while sleeping, thus, the more quality sleep we take, the better. Sweet dreams now ladies!


TIP #6: Positive vibes only!

My last tip is of different context but of extreme importance; get rid of all the negative vibes and remove all toxic people from your life. Surround yourselves only with good energy and stick to the saying: good vibes only!
